The Joy Club is a new ministry at Church on the Rock that will launch on Monday, March 5th. Dr. Morris Sheats will be bringing a dynamic word on being strong and courageous. The Lubbock Dream Center, in partnership with some business graduate students from Texas Tech University, will be hosting a 3 session resume building workshop over 3 Saturdays in February. The dates are February 11, 18 and 24 at 9:30 A.M and will last until 12:30. The program will consist of building and editing resumes, posting them to different job boards, interview skills, and mock interviews.

We are happy to be able provide this service to the Lubbock Community. It is important to us to be able to serve the community in which work and live.

There are many ways to get spiritually fed on Sunday mornings at COTR. We offer the following adult classes at our South Campus:

“The Word and the Spirit” taught by Pastor Gary Delay
Sundays / 10:45 am / Point Building / South Campus
This class will stir your faith as you learn more about the incredible balance of the living word in your life and the direction of the Holy Spirit.

“Exercising Your Spiritual Authority” taught by Pastor Robert Renteria

This class explores what the Bible says about who we are as Christians and how to live in that authority.

“Young Adults” taught by Roy Phelps and Josh Allen

This class is for those young adults who just need a place to connect. Maybe you’re out of college and working. Maybe you’re a young married couple looking for friendship with other couples like you. Whatever phase of life you may be in, if you’re in your early 20’s to early 30’s this may be a great fit for you.

Men’s Bible Study
The men of COTR meet the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month. During this time they are studying the book “Man of Valor” by Richard Exley. If you want to be encouraged and build your friendships with other men seeking the heart of God, this group is for you.

Focus on the World with us! Church on the Rock is offering twelve dynamic life changing mission trips in 2012, and you can be a part. Each trip will be unique, but they all have one purpose: Spread the Good News of Jesus Christ. The trips and their dates are listed below. Stop by the information booth or visit pursuemissions.org to pick up a Pursue Missions 2012 information card for a more detailed listing of the trips, the costs, and the ministry focus of each trip. If you would like to participate in one of these trips, you will need to complete and submit a 2012 missions trip application along with a $50 deposit by January 15th
